Backups Database Backup This version of our software has provided the ability to backup your database.  Backups At any time, you can direct the software to create a backup of the currently used database. Simply click the Backup Button in the Top Tool Bar located on all screens to create a backup. The backup created will be date and time stamped. Date and time stamping will aid you in the future when you need to restore the database. The location of the backup files defaults to the installation directory of the software. The default installation directory is C:\Program Files\Vital Stats (where C: is the primary Hard Drive's letter)  Database Restore You can restore any backup database that you have made. To do this you will need to find the backup zip file that you want to restore. When you have located the backup file, you will need to unzip/unpack the contents of the zip file to the Db sub-directory located in the Vital Stats directory in Program Files. Please note that when unzipping the backup files to the Db directory, it will override the existing data. Do not restore a backup unless absolutely necessary.
