Step 6: Adding Matches

Matches can be added weekly, or the entire year's fixture can be added at once. Matches can be edited if required throughout the season, and finals can be included in the matches. You will need to add players to the matches on match day.

To Add a Match, click on the Add Icon in the Top Tool Bar. You will be presented with a new dialog box.

From this screen you will be able to select Opposition, Date, Time and Ground Condition. Please note that the fields Season and Round are preset, but can be altered accordingly, simply by clicking in the text area and typing the information manually.

To enter in an opposition team that has previously been entered in at the Opposing Teams screen, click on the arrow pointing down. This will open up the drop down box with the list of Opposing Teams. To choose an opposing team, locate the team in the drop down box and click on it.

To enter in the date of the game, click on the drop down box under the label of date, and a calendar will appear. To choose a date, simply click on a date and the date will be selected. If you need to advance forward through the months, you will need to click on the arrow pointing right up the top next to the month's name. Conversely, to navigate backwards through the months, click on the arrow pointing to the left next to the name of the month.

To enter in the time of the match, you can either click on the up and down arrows until you reach the desired match time, or, you can type in the time manually. Please note that the time needs to be entered in a 24hr format.

Ground Condition can be chosen from this screen as well. Choose Ground Condition by clicking on the drop down box and then clicking on your ground condition from the list presented.

Adding players to the match is also done from this screen. A full list of players that you have added in the players screen will be listed in number order. To select your players for the game, you will need to scroll through the players and click on the tick box to the left of the players name to select them. Once you have selected all the appropriate players for the match, click on the save button on the bottom of the screen interface. This will commit the game, the opposition, the date, the time, the ground condition, and the players to the match.

Editing matches is simply done by selecting the match and clicking Edit from the Top Tool Bar. This will re-open the interface for the match whereby you can alter the date, opposing teams, the time, the ground condition and the players. Once complete, click on Save.

Entering further games is simply done by clicking on Add and following the steps outlined above.

Once you have saved the game, you will be presented with the full list of match information.

Once you have entered in the match information and closed the program, and then re-entered the program and returned to the Matches screen, you will only have the next game displayed. You can, however, view all past and future games, simply by clicking on the Show All Games icon in the Top Tool Bar.

After the round has been played, you will not be able to edit any information for that Match in the Matches screen.
