Tool Bar ![]() ![]() ![]() Toolbars are used to provide quick navigation to functions. By clicking on the image, the toolbar function is executed. Add The Add button is for adding records. When the Add button is pressed, the data on the screen is cleared preparing for the entry of new data. Some fields may become protected or disappear if entry to them is not allowed. Save The Save button is for saving added or updated information. As you type information, the data is not saved (or committed) until Save is clicked. If you enter information on a screen and switch to another screen, the data will remain on the screen ready for you when you return. However, any data you enter is not committed to the database until Save is clicked. Generally, on screen with multiple tabs, the Save function will only save data on that tab and not other tabs. Therefore, ensure that as you move from tab to tab, you Save your data along the way. Cancel Cancel is for reversing changes made to records on the screen before they are committed to the database. When you click on the Cancel button when adding a new record, the previous record is displayed. When undoing changes to an existing record, the record is redisplayed with the changes undone. Delete The Delete button is for removing records from the database. When Delete is selected the system will provide a confirmation dialogue. If you select Yes, the record will be deleted, if No, the record to be deleted is redisplayed. Previous Record On screens where one of several records is displayed (such as the golfer screen) you can navigate one record at a time. Using the Previous button, you will go backwards through the records one at a time. When you get to the first record, the next time you click the Previous button, the last record in the database will be displayed. Records are navigated in a predetermined sort sequence. Show Next Game On screens where one of several records are displayed you can navigate one record at a time. Using the Show Next Game button, you will go to the next game in the list of Games entered, one record at a time. Show All Games The Show All Games button will display all the games that have been entered, regardless of whether they are past games or future games. Edit Clicking on the Edit Button will allow you to edit the particular screen you are on. Delete Statistic During a game whilst taking stats, you will have the ability to delete an error in stats taking. Choose the stat you wish to delete and click on the Delete Statistics button. Game Report This button will produce the game day report for the current game. Player Report Player reports will allow you to print individual player stats during or after the game being entered. Game Report to PDF This button is similar to the Game Report; however it creates a PDF file for the current game report. Blank Game Report By clicking on this button you will be taken to a new screen with a blank game report to print. About The About button displays the current version information of the software and copyright information. Backup The Backup button is for backing up your data file. Clicking on backup will create a date stamped zip file and stored in your Vital Stats install directory. The default install directory is Program Files/Vital Stats. Help The Help button, when clicked, brings up a new dialog box which will have the option of going to the web site for support, using this help file, or contacting the support team. Register This button allows you to register this version of the software. Exit The Exit button is for closing the program.
